Joe Tate is a Principal and Founder of Boost HR & Recruiting. Boost currently runs offices in Salt Lake City, Saratoga Springs and Phoenix, AZ with his business partner Shawn Plowman, supporting clients from across the western U.S. Father of four and husband of one. A graduate of the University of Utah in Economics (labor emphasis) and a Mountain School Coach at Snowbird, UT. Joe has worked in key HR roles at Sorenson Communications, Advanta Bank, UPS, GBS Benefits and Snowbird. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from Utah Business Magazine in 2021 and the Gold Medal in the slalom competition at the Utah Winter Games.

A revolutionary thinker, Tegan maintains a relentless stance that there is always a new way to approach the challenges we face in talent acquisition. As the the VP of HR for Megastar HR, Tegan is committed to understanding the distinct needs of mission-driven organizations. She’s consulted many companies and presented trainings to hundreds of leaders seeking ways to refine their talent acquisition strategies. Prior to Megastar HR, she led a team of recruiters at a nationally awarded hospice with 45+ locations across the US where her team grew the company from 73% to 95% staffed despite hiring challenges of clinicians during COVID-19.
As a lifelong learner, Tegan is always looking for opportunities to grow personally and professionally. She is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and also obtained her HR Management Certification and Employment Law Microcredential from the University of Utah. Before she found her love of Talent Acquisition, she was a Wellness Program Leader for the University of Utah, where she hired and managed all massage therapy staff for the Chief Wellness Office.
