Joe Tate is a Principal and Founder of Boost HR & Recruiting. Boost currently runs offices in Salt Lake City, Saratoga Springs and Phoenix, AZ with his business partner Shawn Plowman, supporting clients from across the western U.S. Father of four and husband of one. A graduate of the University of Utah in Economics (labor emphasis) and a Mountain School Coach at Snowbird, UT. Joe has worked in key HR roles at Sorenson Communications, Advanta Bank, UPS, GBS Benefits and Snowbird. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from Utah Business Magazine in 2021 and the Gold Medal in the slalom competition at the Utah Winter Games.

Weslie M. Porter was born in San Diego, California, and raised in Vernal, Utah. Currently a Major in the Utah Army National Guard, Wes has served for 18 years in the military as an operations officer, HR officer, and Liaison officer. He has acted in Higher education positions as an instructor, STEM program developer, Director of Energy, and Director of Business. Wes has deployed overseas supporting combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and served as a liaison officer for military operations to UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and multiple state and federal agencies. Wes has served as a Victims Advocate, sexual harassment and assault response program manager, and equity consultant for several federal and state entities. Wes has co-founded multiple non-profit organizations including Uintah Basin Area Veterans Association and Dreams in Motion which connect individuals with disabilities and hardships with resources and other community members, and sits on the governing board for a local charter school. Wes is currently the inaugural Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Access (EDIA) Accelerator for the state of Utah as laid out in Governor Cox's "One Utah Road Map '' and is housed in the Division of Human Resource Management where he focuses on equitable policy analysis and initiative development. Wes has earned multiple leadership and HR credentials through the US Army, a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, and Master in Public Administration from Southern Utah University. Wes is married to the former Emily Ruppe of Vernal and they have 6 children they raise together in rural Utah.
